Nestled away in the Rocky Mountains lies a castle, majestic in every way and the perfect backdrop for the bride and groom’s vision of a winter wedding, fairytale style.
For this wedding, we worked to design a Disney “Winter Wonderland” theme for the couple and their guests, creating an adventure through ice and snow. The night before the wedding, the couple hosted an ice castle party for their guests outdoors with tables and a large bar all constructed from ice. There were bonfires and ice candles, all awash with a rainbow of lighting. And despite the close to ‐30 degrees Celsius temperature, guests spent hours having cocktails, smoking cigars and socializing with one another, embracing the beauty of the evening.
The couples’ ceremony took place in the ballroom of the castle overlooking the frozen mountain lake. While the bride walked down the aisle towards a white canopy framed on either side with two majestic white trees covered in lights and crystals, a string quartet played a custom compilation of romantic Disney songs.
Soft lighting illuminated the entire room accompanied by large fireplaces at either end of the hall overflowing with candles enhancing the majestic ambiance of the evening. The Winter Wonderland theme called for a palette of shimmering ivory with splashes of champagne and gold.
Striped champagne satin linens coordinated with dramatic covers on the elegant chairing were provided by Chameleon Chairs. The place settings were set with antique gold chargers, with silver and gold edible glitter bonbons. All design aspects which heightened the couples experience and further enhanced the already elegant surroundings.
When the couple took to their first dance, real snowflakes sprinkled down on them from above, the perfect addition to their fairy tale wedding.
